Paul E. Clark – President & CEO, Principal
Paul Clark is the founder of Clark & Lavey Benefits Solutions, Inc. He is a licensed Life, Accident, Health and Property Casualty Producer; and has been in the industry nearly 20 years, providing service to a wide variety of clients.
Prior to founding Clark & Lavey, Paul was a Senior Account Manager with Blue Cross / Blue Shield of Massachusetts, handling accounts of all sizes, including Tufts University and Converse Shoe. During his tenure with Blue Cross, Paul held the distinction of being a Blue Cross and Blue Shield “Top Sales Performer” for five consecutive years.
Paul is a Nashua Rotary past president, and still actively involved in all its community-related projects. He is also a member of The Plus Company board of directors (past chairman); the Rivier College President’s Committee; a trustee of Nashua Fish & Game; and on the advisory boards of several carrier organizations. Paul is also a former Marine reservist, and has been involved with their Toys for Tots efforts for many years.
Currently, Paul is an active member of the National Association of Health Underwriters, National Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors, and the International Foundation of Employee Benefit Plans; National Chairman of the Benefits Advisors Network Sales Committee; and a member of the Board of Directors of Manchester Area Human Resources Association (MAHRA). He is also a member of the New Hampshire Hospital Association, and the College and University Professional Association for Human Resources. Paul graduated from the University of Lowell with a degree in Criminal Justice.

Laura M. Bennett – Chief Financial Officer
Laura has more than twenty five years experience in business and industry. Prior to joining Clark & Lavey, Laura was Controller for Ballard Power Systems Corporation, Lowell Massachusetts for nearly ten years where she was responsible for directing the finance and accounting efforts. As part of her responsibilities Laura managed eight years of audits including financial, property tax and sales and use tax. Previously Laura worked first at Hologic as Director of Financial Planning and Analysis, and later at Synarc, Inc., a spin-off of Hologic where she was Corporate Controller. Under her leadership the company transitioned general and administrative functions from the west coast to the east coast. In addition she was responsible for designing and implementing comprehensive budgeting and financial reporting systems for three United States entities and two European entities.
Previously, Laura was Manager of International Business Planning at Lotus Development Corporation in Cambridge Ma. In addition to her responsibilities for monthly financial analysis, reporting and forecasting of European and Far East subsidiaries, she was also the liaison for international entities, corporate accounting, tax and treasury.
Laura graduated from Boston College with a Bachelor of Science in Accounting and earned her Master of Business Administration in Finance from the University of Southern New Hampshire. She is a licensed Life, Accident and Health Producer. She is a member of the Institute of Management Accountants and a member of MENSA International.
Armando G. Llorente – Vice-President of Human Resources & Practice Leader
As Vice-President of Human Resources and Practice Leader, Armando has more than twenty years of experience in human resource management and organizational development. He is an award-winning bilingual strategist whose broad expertise includes improving organizational effectiveness, mergers and acquisitions, training, talent management, succession planning and implementing effective human resource programs resulting in improved delivery of service, cost savings and retention.
Prior to joining Clark & Lavey, Armando was a Principal with HRe-sources LLC of Holliston Massachusetts, guiding clients across New England toward effective strategically-driven results. He previously held the position of Director of Human Resources at Thermo Fisher Scientific where he had oversight of human resources for two business units in the United States as well as coordinating global human resource support for units in Asia, Europe and Australia. Among his accomplishments was the successful implementation of HR programs and performance measures tied to staffing and retention, performance management, role model leadership and career development.
Earlier in his career Armando held the position of Senior Human Resources Operations Manager with EMC in which he had responsibility for providing human resources consultant support and project management to corporate Finance and Legal departments.
Armando received his BA from Wofford College, and his MBA from Plymouth State University. In 2008 he was recognized by The Boston Business Journal and El Planeta in “Twenty on the Move”, as one of twenty Hispanic executives making an impact in the Boston business community.
Jennifer Tschudin – Client Services Manager
As Client Services Manager, Jennifer Tschudin is responsible for the delivery of exemplary customer service to Clark & Lavey clients. Jenn works closely with the client services team and corporate benefit specialists to ensure that our clients are provided a thorough benefit proposal as well exceptional service and support.
Jenn is a New Hampshire-licensed Life, Accident, & Health Producer and has a number of years working in employer group benefits. Before joining Clark & Lavey in 2008, Jenn worked for Fidelity Investments and their outsourcing division as a supervisor and manager of customer service and support for health and welfare insurance, retirement, and human resources/payroll needs. Jenn also has her Series 6 License through the National Association of Securities Dealers.
Jenn has been a member of the Capital Region Mothers of Multiples group, serving as Research Coordinator; and was a captain for the March of Dimes WalkAmerica in 2006 and 2007.
Shawn Allen – Director of Corporate
Benefit Strategies.
As Director of Corporate Benefit Strategies for Clark & Lavey Benefits Solutions, Shawn helps clients with their employee benefit programs, working with them to provide long-term solutions to today's complex health care landscape. He is a licensed Life, Accident, Health and Property Casualty Producer. Shawn has tremendous experience with both small and large market segments. He works with both self-funded and fully-insured clients and works and has considerable experience with clients whose employees are located across the globe.
Shawn joined Clark & Lavey in 2004 after a very successful seven year career at ADP, where he was a Major Accounts and Human Resources District Manager. He achieved President's Club status in six of his seven years at ADP.
Four years ago, Shawn created a group of like-minded professionals who have specialized areas of expertise. During this time, the group has contributed greatly to each other's personal and professional success. A key part to that success is the ability of each member to share these business partners with their clients when the need arises, providing many essential services and cost saving solutions.
While attending U-Mass Amherst in the early nineties, Shawn was lucky enough to meet his wife and the two live happily together in the Metro Boston area with their three children, Shawn stays active in his community by coaching sports and being an active member of the local Chamber of Commerce. He is also is a member of the Metro-West Human Resources Management Association, where he serves on the board.
Shawn is a former member of the U.S. Marine Corps and an avid sports enthusiast.

Al Carlson – Account Executive
Al came to Clark & Lavey from Intuit Payroll Services in Waltham, MA, where he was a Business Development Manager. Prior to that he worked for Harper Payroll Services in Worcester, MA; and he had a very successful 15-year track record at ADP, where he earned several distinctions for outstanding performance.
Al has a degree in Business Administration from the University of Massachusetts.
Erin Martellotta – Account Executive
Erin Martellotta brings nearly a dozen years of experience in human resources, the financial industry and group benefits to her role as Account Executive. Erin manages clients in the small market segment. She is a licensed Life, Accident and Health producer. She began her career at Clark & Lavey in 2008 as an Account Representative providing assistance to her clients with their employee benefit questions and needs.
Erin came to Clark & Lavey from Portland, Maine where she worked as a recruiter in the financial services industry. She previously worked for many years in a client and broker service role at Great-West Healthcare.
Erin received her Associate Degree in Applied Science from Andover College, and attended the University of Southern Maine, Portland. She is a member of Workplace Wellness Council of Massachusetts, Seacoast Women's Networking Group, and Toastmasters.
