Paul E. Clark – President & CEO, Principal

Paul Clark is the founder of Clark & Lavey Benefits Solutions, Inc. He is a licensed Life, Accident, Health and Property Casualty Producer; and has been in the industry nearly 20 years, providing service to a wide variety of clients.

Prior to founding Clark & Lavey, Paul was a Senior Account Manager with Blue Cross / Blue Shield of Massachusetts, handling accounts of all sizes, including Tufts University and Converse Shoe. During his tenure with Blue Cross, Paul held the distinction of being a Blue Cross and Blue Shield “Top Sales Performer” for five consecutive years.

Paul is a Nashua Rotary past president, and still actively involved in all its community-related projects. He is also a member of The Plus Company board of directors (past chairman); the Rivier College President’s Committee; a trustee of Nashua Fish & Game; and on the advisory boards of several carrier organizations. Paul is also a former Marine reservist, and has been involved with their Toys for Tots efforts for many years.

Currently, Paul is an active member of the National Association of Health Underwriters, National Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors, and the International Foundation of Employee Benefit Plans; National Chairman of the Benefits Advisors Network Sales Committee; and a board director of MAHRA. Paul graduated from the University of Lowell with a degree in Criminal Justice.

John G. Mokas – Chief Operating Officer

John Mokas joined Clark & Lavey in 2005, with more than 25 years of business experience. He has overall responsibility for the daily operations of the company.

Prior to joining Clark & Lavey, John was Chief Financial Officer at Courion Corporation, an identity software company. Before that, he held various senior-level financial and administrative positions with Parametric Technology Corporation, a billion-dollar software manufacturer and marketer. He started his professional career as a CPA for 10 years with Cooper & Lybrand (now PriceWaterhouseCoopers).

John has been a member of the board of directors of Facing History and Ourselves, since 1993; the St. George Greek Orthodox Cathedral in Manchester, NH since 2001, where he served as president in 2006; the Fourka Educational Fraternal Association since 1990, including serving as president from 1994-97 and as the 100th Anniversary chair from 2004-06; the Nashua YMCA since 2008. He is also a member of the Bentley College Executive and Presidents Club.

John is also a member of the Financial Executives Institute, American Society of Certified Public Accountants and the Massachusetts Society of CPAs. He graduated from the University of New Hampshire with a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration and received a Master’s degree from Bentley College.

Laurie Glaude – HR Practice Leader

During more than fifteen years experience as a human resources professional, Laurie Glaude has developed organizational processes and improvements that directly and positively affected the bottom line for the organizations in which she has worked. She is now applying her expertise on behalf of Clark & Lavey’s valued clients.

Laurie began her career as a Human Resources Manager with Shaw’s Supermarkets, where she ultimately developed an HR structure for the Northeast region that was adopted company-wide. She then joined The Associated Grocers of New England, and continued to develop innovative and successful HR programs. Most recently, she was Human Resources Director for Granite State Manufacturing, where her responsibilities encompassed employee relations, benefit administration, compensation programs, training and development, safety programs, and federal and state labor compliance.

Laurie attended Southern New Hampshire University and is a Professional in Human Resources, holding certification with Human Resources Certification Institute. She is a mentor for many HR professionals, and has presented seminars on developing HR careers, most recently at Southern New Hampshire University. She is a current board member of Manchester Area Human Resources Association and a member of the Society for Human Resource Management.

She also serves on the board of Child Health Services of Manchester, NH; and is a current board member and past board president of the American Nystagmus Network, a national organization for individuals with visual disabilities.

Jennifer Tschudin – Account Representative Manager

Jenn joined Clark & Lavey as the Account Representative Manager in 2008, supporting the account representative team. She is a New Hampshire-licensed Life, Accident, & Health Producer and has a number of years working in employer group benefits. Jenn works closely with the account representatives and corporate benefit specialists to ensure that our clients are given a thorough benefit proposal as well exceptional service and support.

Before joining Clark & Lavey, Jenn worked for Fidelity Investments and their outsourcing division as a supervisor and manager of customer service and support for health and welfare insurance, retirement, and human resources/payroll needs. Jenn also has her Series 6 License through the National Association of Securities Dealers.

Jenn has been a member of the Capital Region Mothers of Multiples group, serving as Research Coordinator; and was a captain for the March of Dimes WalkAmerica in 2006 and 2007.

Shawn Allen – Director of Corporate
Benefit Strategies.

Shawn Allen joined Clark & Lavey in 2004 after a very successful 7-year career at ADP, where he was a Major Accounts and Human Resources District Manager. He achieved President’s Club status in six of his seven years at ADP; and was #1 in the East division and #2 nationally for sales dollars and units in 2004.

Shawn is a former member of the U.S. Marine Corps, an avid sports enthusiast, and an active member of the Massachusetts Chapter of the Human Resources Management Association.

Al Carlson – Director of Corporate
Benefit Strategies.

Al came to Clark & Lavey from Intuit Payroll Services in Waltham, MA, where he was a Business Development Manager. Prior to that he worked for Harper Payroll Services in Worcester, MA; and he had a very successful 15-year track record at ADP, where he earned several distinctions for outstanding performance.

Al has a degree in Business Administration from the University of Massachusetts.
